Es por ello que <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/114283\/descansa-en-paz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Descansa en paz<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handling the Undead<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Noruega, 2024) es un esp\u00e9cimen sumamente inusual dentro de este subg\u00e9nero del terror.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lee tambi\u00e9n: <a href=\"https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/mx\/critica-good-boy-pelicula\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cr\u00edtica:\u00a0<em>Good Boy<\/em> (y el humano m\u00e1s idiota del mundo)<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe title=\"HANDLING THE UNDEAD - Official Sundance Trailer\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qrmpti8QHco?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tan es as\u00ed que incluso cabe cuestionar si cuenta como <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/terror\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cine de terror<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. S\u00ed lo hace, aunque la directora y coguionista Thea Hvistendahl est\u00e1 m\u00e1s interesada en el drama interior de los personajes. Es una pel\u00edcula sobre un tipo distinto de Apocalipsis zombi: no aquel que trae el t\u00edpico colapso catastr\u00f3fico de la civilizaci\u00f3n, sino el colapso de las vidas que siguen cuando sus afectos ya la han abandonado.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfDe qu\u00e9 se trata?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En Oslo, Anna (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/list\/peliculas-de-renate-reinsve-ver-online\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Renate Reinsve<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/18214\/la-peor-persona-del-mundo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La peor persona del mundo<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) es una joven madre soltera que no logra sobreponerse a la reciente muerte de su hijo, y su padre (Bj\u00f8rn Sundquist) no sabe c\u00f3mo ayudarla. David (Anders Danielsen Lie), un aspirante a comediante, ama profundamente a su esposa, Eva (Bahar Pars), quien muere repentinamente en un accidente de tr\u00e1nsito. Con la ciudad rodeada por el misterio de estas resurrecciones, las familias deben lidiar con el repentino regreso de sus seres amados\u2014y con la posibilidad de que estos, y ellos mismos, no sean las mismas personas que eran antes\u2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Descansa en paz <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handling the Undead<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) no es la t\u00edpica pel\u00edcula de zombis<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si no lo intu\u00edas ya en este punto, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Descansa en paz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> est\u00e1 lejos del terror abyecto y escandaloso que solemos esperar del <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/list\/peliculas-de-zombis-esenciales-ver-online\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cine de zombis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: si \u00e9ste fuera un espectro, la pel\u00edcula de Hvistendahl estar\u00eda en el extremo opuesto de algo como <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/15084\/guerra-mundial-z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guerra mundial Z<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World War Z<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, EUA, 2013).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lee tambi\u00e9n: <a href=\"https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/mx\/critica-frankenstein-guillermo-del-toro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cr\u00edtica: <em>Frankenstein<\/em> de Guillermo del Toro es una pel\u00edcula bella, pero sin alma<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59479\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59479\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-59479\" src=\"https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/descansa-en-paz-handling-the-undead.webp\" alt=\"Descansa en paz (Handling the Undead)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/descansa-en-paz-handling-the-undead.webp 800w, https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/descansa-en-paz-handling-the-undead-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/descansa-en-paz-handling-the-undead-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/news.filmelier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/descansa-en-paz-handling-the-undead-150x84.webp 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-59479\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La quietud del entorno y del luto son las constantes en <em>Descansa en paz<\/em> (Cr\u00e9ditos: Synapse Distribution)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La pel\u00edcula, cuyo gui\u00f3n adaptado por John Ajvide Lindqvist a partir de su propia novela hom\u00f3nima (como ya hizo con las similares <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/8725\/border-criaturas-fronterizas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Border: criaturas fronterizas<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y con <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/113047\/dejame-entrar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">D\u00e9jame entrar<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, esta \u00faltima de vampiros), obvia por completo las im\u00e1genes chocantes de violencia y las persecuciones esperadas del subg\u00e9nero. Las emociones, por lo tanto, son muy contenidas, m\u00e1s oscuras de un modo discreto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es una pel\u00edcula de zombis que dif\u00edcilmente calificar\u00eda como tal de no ser por la presencia de los muertos vivientes. La sangre y el canibalismo se mantienen a un m\u00ednimo. La lucha por la supervivencia ni siquiera es, de hecho, el asunto principal aqu\u00ed. O por lo menos no el tipo de supervivencia esperada de esta clase de pel\u00edculas, donde los protagonistas deben cargar con armas, buscar provisiones, ocultarse para no ser devorados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esto es porque el inter\u00e9s de Hvistendahl y de la historia de Lindqvist est\u00e1 en otra cosa: en c\u00f3mo estos personajes sobreviven despu\u00e9s de la tragedia. Junto con el pausado ritmo del montaje, la fotograf\u00eda de P\u00e5l Ulvik Rokseth (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/4405\/22-de-julio\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">22 de julio<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), de apagados tonos azules que evocan la tristeza de un fr\u00edo norte escandinavo, observa la quietud, los espacios vac\u00edos y nos sit\u00faa en el espacio mental de la tragedia, el luto y la melancol\u00eda de sus tres protagonistas. Jam\u00e1s conocemos c\u00f3mo es que muri\u00f3 el hijo de Anna, o si Tora y Elisabet llevaban mucho tiempo juntas (aunque se intuye que lo estuvieron por toda una vida). Tampoco se les complejiza dentro de este escenario ni hay una reflexi\u00f3n densa sobre lo que significar\u00eda para los muertos volver del otro lado, si ser\u00edan o no las mismas personas de antes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo anterior puede sentirse dram\u00e1ticamente escueto, aunque s\u00ed que la pel\u00edcula tiene algo que decir. La narrativa se orienta m\u00e1s a brindar una alegor\u00eda de c\u00f3mo seguir adelante cuando el pasado se resiste a morir. Estos zombis no brindan el espect\u00e1culo de la violencia can\u00edbal, sino que son m\u00e1s como fantasmas o recuerdos a los que nos aferramos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPero lo que revive en la memoria es lo mismo que fue en vida?
