Treinta a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de su debut cinematogr\u00e1fico en este mismo festival con <em>El Globo Blanco<\/em> (Ir\u00e1n, 1995), ganador de la Cam\u00e9ra d&#8217;Or a mejor \u00f3pera prima, el cineasta iran\u00ed regresa al escenario internacional con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/br\/filmes\/110893\/it-was-just-an-accident\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>It Was Just an Accident<\/em><\/a> (Ir\u00e1n, Francia y Luxemburgo, 2025), favorito a la Palma de Oro este a\u00f1o.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Consulta tambi\u00e9n: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/br\/list\/vencedores-da-palma-de-ouro-de-cannes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pel\u00edculas ganadoras de la Palma de Oro en Cannes<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<iframe title=\"It Was Just an Accident new clip official from Cannes Film Festival 2025\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jILemYMAgts?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\r\n\r\nEn febrero de 2010, las autoridades iran\u00edes le negaron el visado para viajar al <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/br\/festival\/berlin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Festival de Berl\u00edn<\/a>, meses despu\u00e9s de que animara a los miembros del jurado del Festival de Montreal a usar bufandas verdes en apoyo al Movimiento Verde Iran\u00ed, que ped\u00eda la remoci\u00f3n del presidente Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.\r\n\r\nEn marzo de 2010 fue arrestado junto con su esposa, su hija y 15 amigos, incluido el cineasta Mohammad Rasoulof (de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/25593\/la-semilla-del-fruto-sagrado\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La Semilla del Fruto Sagrado<\/em><\/a>).\r\n\r\nEn mayo de ese a\u00f1o, el Festival de Cannes dej\u00f3 una silla vac\u00eda representando su ausencia del jurado presidido por Tim Burton, del que Panahi deb\u00eda formar parte. Durante la conferencia de prensa de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/8400\/copia-fiel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Copia Certificada<\/em><\/a> (Ir\u00e1n, Francia, Italia, 2011) de Abbas Kiarostami (1940-2016), se anunci\u00f3 que Panahi hab\u00eda comenzado una huelga de hambre, lo que provoc\u00f3 el llanto de la actriz Juliette Binoche &#8211; presidenta del jurado de Cannes 2025.\r\n\r\nEn diciembre de 2010, Panahi recibi\u00f3 una sentencia de seis a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n y 20 a\u00f1os de prohibici\u00f3n para hacer cine y salir del pa\u00eds. Aunque en 2011 se redujo a arresto domiciliario, las restricciones creativas y de viaje permanecieron.\r\n\r\nA pesar de la prohibici\u00f3n, Panahi sigui\u00f3 filmando. <em>Esto no es una pel\u00edcula<\/em> (Ir\u00e1n, 2011), exhibida en Cannes, fue rodada dentro de su casa. <em>Cortinas Cerradas<\/em> (Ir\u00e1n, 2013) gan\u00f3 el Oso de Plata al gui\u00f3n en Berl\u00edn. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/5432\/taxi-teheran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Taxi Teher\u00e1n<\/em><\/a> (Ir\u00e1n, 2015) obtuvo el Oso de Oro en Berl\u00edn. En <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/113405\/no-bears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>No bears<\/em><\/a> (Ir\u00e1n, 2022), Premio Especial del Jurado en Venecia, Panahi se traslad\u00f3 a la frontera con Turqu\u00eda para dirigir remotamente. Nunca pudo asistir a estos festivales ni recibir los premios en persona.\r\n<h2><em>It Was Just an Accident<\/em> marca el regreso de Jafar Panahi<\/h2>\r\nDe ah\u00ed la emoci\u00f3n por su presencia en Cannes con <em>It Was Just an Accident<\/em> tras a\u00f1os de ausencia. Recientemente levantaron su prohibici\u00f3n de filmar, permiti\u00e9ndole realizar esta pel\u00edcula de manera menos clandestina cerca de Ir\u00e1n. &#8220;Aunque ya no est\u00e9 prohibido, mis filmes no siguen los tr\u00e1mites legales normales&#8221;, explic\u00f3 Panahi. &#8220;Debes enviar guiones al ministerio, pero yo debo seguir trabajando como antes, incluso en esta nueva etapa&#8221;.\r\n\r\nEn la cinta, una familia sufre una aver\u00eda tras atropellar un perro. En el taller, el mec\u00e1nico Vahid (Vahid Mobasseri) reconoce a Eghbal (Ebrahim Azizi) como su torturador por el sonido de su pr\u00f3tesis. La situaci\u00f3n atrae a otras v\u00edctimas del r\u00e9gimen: el librero Salar (Georges Hashemzadeh), la fot\u00f3grafa Shiva (Mariam Afshari) y otros.\r\n\r\n<em>It Was Just an Accident<\/em> mezcla humor y tensi\u00f3n, alternando comedia y tragedia como la vida en un pa\u00eds autoritario &#8211; al igual que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmelier.com\/mx\/peliculas\/27407\/o-agente-secreto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>El Agente Secreto<\/em><\/a> (Brasil, Francia, Alemania, 2025) de Kleber Mendon\u00e7a Filho. Si gana la Palma de Oro &#8211; y tiene grandes posibilidades &#8211; Panahi completar\u00eda la trifecta de los principales festivales, tras el Le\u00f3n de Oro por <em>El C\u00edrculo<\/em> (2000) y el Oso de Oro por <em>Taxi Teher\u00e1n<\/em>, adem\u00e1s del Leopardo de Oro por <em>El Espejo<\/em> (1997).\r\n<h2>La experiencia carcelaria de Panahi inspira <em>It Was Just an Accident<\/em><\/h2>\r\n&#8220;Al ser encarcelado, inevitablemente te influye lo que vives y ves&#8221;, dijo Panahi. En 2022 comparti\u00f3 celda con presos no pol\u00edticos cuyas historias aparecen en la pel\u00edcula. Un co-guionista sigue encarcelado. &#8220;Terminamos el rodaje en paz, pero al seleccionarse en Cannes, intensificaron los interrogatorios y amenazas al equipo. Afortunadamente la pel\u00edcula ya estaba lista&#8221;, explic\u00f3. Panahi rest\u00f3 importancia a los riesgos de volver a Ir\u00e1n, a diferencia de su amigo Rasoulof, exiliado en Alemania: &#8220;No soy m\u00e1s heroico que otros iran\u00edes. Las mujeres desaf\u00edan la ley del velo cada d\u00eda. Regresar\u00e9 y pensar\u00e9 en mi pr\u00f3xima pel\u00edcula&#8221;.\r\n\r\nLa actriz Maryam Afshari coincidi\u00f3: &#8220;Ir\u00e1n es nuestro pa\u00eds. Debemos luchar por su mejora, sin importar lo que nos pase&#8221;. Panahi describi\u00f3 la situaci\u00f3n como absurda: &#8220;Al encarcelar artistas, el r\u00e9gimen les da ideas. No fui yo quien hizo esta pel\u00edcula, fue la Rep\u00fablica Isl\u00e1mica. Ning\u00fan poder puede silenciar a un artista.
