The Fantastic Four: First Steps: What Are the Post-Credit Scenes in the Movie?

What you will see here:

The new Fantastic Four movie, marking the return of Marvel’s First Family to the big screen under the Marvel Studios banner, finally hit theaters this Thursday, July 24. And of course, many fans are wondering: are there post-credits scenes after the story ends?

The answer is yes. The movie features two post-credits scenes that should leave audiences excited for the next chapters of the MCU.

Everything about the post-credits scenes of Fantastic Four: First Steps

The first scene features a tense and revealing moment: Sue Storm leaves her son Franklin in the room and, when she returns, finds the child in the hands of the feared Doctor Doom. The sequence is built with mystery, not showing the face of the iconic Marvel villain — who, as already revealed, will be played by Robert Downey Jr., returning to the MCU in a completely different role from Tony Stark/Iron Man.

The second scene takes a more nostalgic and fun approach: a television screen plays scenes from the classic Fantastic Four animated series, creating an emotional connection with longtime fans and celebrating the rich history of the heroes in pop culture.

Everything about Fantastic Four: First Steps

Directed by Matt Shakman, Fantastic Four: First Steps marks the first Marvel Studios film. It’s set entirely in an alternate reality, with a style that blends science fiction, family drama, and cosmic adventure.

Here, Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are introduced as heroes who balance their powers with the challenges of group life. The idea is to capture the spirit of the original comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. To that end, the characters are set in a retro-futuristic universe that allows for greater creative freedom.

In the lead role, Pedro Pascal dons the mantle of Mr. Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby plays the powerful Invisible Woman. The cast also includes Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing. Additionally, Julia Garner appears as a female version of the Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson plays the fearsome Galactus.
